Greek-born designer Michail Sykianakis' journey to the world of fashion was one of destiny. After initially moving to London at the age of 19 to study English Literature, the designer quickly realized his true passion lay in the realm of design. He was accepted into the prestigious Central Saint Martins, where he graduated with a BA Hons in Womenswear alongside industry heavyweights Phoebe Philo and Paulo Melim.

Michail’s career took off as he went on to assist some of fashion's biggest names, including Matthew Williamson, Julien McDonald, and Sophia Kokosalaki before accepting a position as Senior Designer for the Max Azria runway line in Los Angeles.

It was here that his expertise in draping was truly put to the test, as he created show-stopping looks for Hollywood's elite, including Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Zoe Saldana, and Rachel Bilson. In 2014, Michail fulfilled a lifelong dream by launching his eponymous label Michail by Michail Sykianakis. His designs have since been worn by the likes of British actress Lily Collins and have been selected by stylist Patricia Field for her hit TV series. Even Taylor Swift's stylist has sought out Sykianakis' pieces for the singer's upcoming appearances.
